During the summer of last year New Country Homes undertook the full supply and installation of the interior and exterior decoration works on the remodelling of an Eaton Square bachelor pad.

New Country Homes was appointed by our client to deliver exquisite decoration finishes to all of the newly installed wall mouldings MDF skirting boards and architraves and newly built joinery units.

This was project was sheer example of how New Country Homes creatively collaborates with clients to achieve their vision of what passionate interior design should be.

As the apartment was located on the ground level of a grade 2 listed building it was essential that our preparation work to the existing ceilings was carried out and delivered to the highest quality in order to phase the imperfections. once this was achieved the ceilings was then finished in a water base architects matt emulsion to create a flat finish that is desired in period homes.

The property had two hallways that connect the entry vestibule to the kitchen and master bedroom from which the newly installed MDF panelled doors architraves walls and ceilings was finished in a high gloss oil based paint to create a Lacquer type finish, expert care and attention was required on the newly plastered surfaces to ensure that the surfaces was free of even the slightest imperfection prior to the application of the paint .

In October 2017 New Country homes was appointed to carry out the supply and installation of a prestigious decoration project for a private client on a triplex penthouse situated in Eaton Place.

Prior to our appointment of this project, the entirety of the existing elevations of the building was completed stripped to its core and was carefully reconstructed from the ground floor through to the top floor entertainment lounge which boasted a rooftop garden with beautiful views across London.

New Country Homes deployed a team of expert decorators from our highly skilled Painters to our highly skilled wallpaper hangers this project required over the top attention to detail and precision.

The wallpaper for the was a fabric backed material designed and produced by Brian Yates. It was crucial that our team of wallpaper hangers ensured that every cut was precise to ensure that when the wallpaper edges was meeting the lines was perfect.

In addition to the traditional decoration and hand finishing of the interior woodwork and ceilings and joinery New Country Homes produced spray finishes in the bedrooms. The newly installed ceilings contained ceiling inlays that was recessed in by a depth of around 3mm inside these inlays the substrate was traditional MDF from which the surfaces had to be carefully filled in using a delicate wood filler then rubbed down using a 120 grade fine sand paper which a produced a smooth surface, once this was achieved a base coat of solvent base timber primer was then applied to seal the timber MDF, Finally once the preparation work had completed our expert team of sprayers applied a 2 coats of gold metallic spray paint which gave the newly decorated a bedroom ceilings and simple but exquisite finish.
